The Story Behind Blooprint Imaginative Play™

As a parent, I always wanted to make sure my son Kaden stayed on track developmentally and academically, even though he couldn't attend a childcare center for the first three years of his life due to the rising costs of quality care and long waiting lists. During this time, Kaden was fortunate to spend most of his preschool years with my mother, who had the flexibility in her work schedule to care for him during the day.

My mother, who grew up in a simpler time with no technology, relied on imagination and the elements in the community to teach Kaden. Whether it was counting the number of snails in her garden or reading and following recipes together, she introduced Kaden to practical tasks that sparked his curiosity and love of learning.

I saw how Kaden would eagerly retain the information and dive deeper into the careers associated with each task. He didn’t just complete the activities—he became fascinated with the community helpers who made those things happen. That’s when it hit me—why not channel his love of community and learning into something bigger?

With over 15 years of experience in Early Childhood Education as an educator, childcare provider, and a parent, I decided to combine my mother’s hands-on teaching methods with Kaden’s natural curiosity to create Blooprint Imaginative Play™. This program was born out of a desire to inspire children to learn through imagination and practical experiences, while closing gaps in early childhood education and helping children dream big about their future.

Now, Kaden’s curiosity and love for learning are at the heart of what we do, and I'm thrilled to share this journey with other families who want to help their children discover the world around them through play. Blooprint Imaginative Play™ is where kids dream big and learn about the careers that shape their communities—one play at a time.
